Rapid Migration.

The migration services vendor brings in a migration appliance that directly reads the database and storage media of the source PACS, processes the image data, and transmits it to the new PACS at rates up to 1 Terabyte per day. Usually this process requires a significant on-site presence of the migration vendor’s team during the migration process, and a sizable amount of computing hardware in the migration appliance.
Rapid Migration requires that the migration vendor understand the internal organization of the source PACS. There is a significant investment by the vendor in tooling for each type of source PACS, making the economics of this approach poor for migration providers that are captive to a single destination PACS vendor. Migratek is the only migration services provider offering non-custom Rapid Migration services.
